KUK KI
(SELF CONTROL)

Kuk Ki teaches Jung Jik the art of SELF CONTROL.

Jung Jik, on his journey to become a great martial artist, finds himself unable to control his emotions and frustrations during his training.

Kuk Ki explains to Jung Jik that to become a great martial artist, not only does one have to be physically fit but a true martial artist must be able to control one’s emotions and fears.

Jung Jik learns to control his emotions and impulses and conquers his urge to give up every time he is unable to perform.

SELF CONTROL is the last stage Jung Jik overcomes on his passage to becoming the “RED TIGER”.

IN NAE SHIM
(PERSEVERANCE)


In Nae Shim means “Perseverance” in Korean.

She teaches Jung Jik the importance of not giving up. During his training, Jung Jik was getting frustrated when he was trying to learn how to do his forms in Tae Kwon Do.

Jung Jik wanted to give up and run away, but In Nae Shim showed Jung Jik that he had the ability to succeed if he believed in himself.

She explained to him that it is easy to give up and complain, but true heroes and heroines keep trying and face their problems with a positive attitude.

Through her patience and understanding, Jung Jik understands the true meaning of “Perseverance”.

JUNG JIK
(INTEGRITY)

Jung Jik, which means “INTEGRITY” in the Korean language, is the “Red Tiger”.

He is the first of 5 characters in the “Legend of the Red Tiger” and was an ordinary tiger that rose to greatness by believing in himself, and that with this belief, he could achieve anything.


He always stands by his word and is true to himself. He holds on to his strong morals and principles. Jung Jik was not always like this though.

Through the help of his friends and events, Jung Jik realized that in order to be the best tiger he could
be, he had to always stand by his word and maintain the highest level of “INTEGRITY”.

BAEK JUL BUL GUL

(INDOMITABLE SPIRIT)


Baek Jul Bul Gul, which translates to “Indomitable Spirit” in Korean is the next character in the “Legend of the Red Tiger” story.

He is one of the characters, the Red Tiger, Jung Jik, encounters that influences him to become the “Red Tiger”.

Through Baek’s strength and courage, Jung Jik learns the true meaning of having an “indomitable spirit”.

Baek tells Jung Jik about his own trials and tribulations and how he never allowed his situation to break his spirit, his will to survive.

By speaking with Baek, Jung Jik learns strength and courage, and most importantly how to get up and face each day with a smile, to have his own “indomitable spirit”.


YAE EE
(COURTESY)

Yae Ee is the first character Jung Jik meets on his arrival to the cave of “the Four”.


After traveling without food or shelter for days, Yae Ee welcomes Jung Jik with food and comfort. Yae Ee nurtures Jung Jik back to health with herbs and kindness..

Yae Ee is considerate and respectful to Jung Jik, even though he does not know Jung Jik.

Yae Ee teaches Jung Jik that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy no matter what their background may be.

Through Yae Ee’s understanding and respect, Jung Jik learns the true meaning of Courtesy.
